Night of 21/morning 22- stay at
Contemporary Hotel- theme park view
$872.11 (ouch!) for room and 2-day your way ticket w park hopper option (I ended up not using one, and paid extra so it doesn't expire), $200 deposit
2-day parkhopper ticket is $184- one is no expiration
Did early check in
940am breakfast at Beach Club, EPCOT resort
Wow, Disney does do a breakfast buffet well. You didn't have to search for crispy bacon, it was ALL crispy bacon!
Morning at Hollywood studios
Then took the boat over to the park
Indiana Jones
This re-did scenes from the first movie and had me smiling already
Muppet Vision 3-D Star Wars
Simulates being in a ship that ends up going along on the first Death Star strike
I got a fast pass for this one and was glad I did
Head back to hotel to chill in room a little
Took the boat back to my car at the resort
I run into Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas fineries
When my family would come here growing up it would be a novel thrill to be staying at a Days Inn motel, and the
hotel on property where the monorail went through was a dream where only the rich could stay...
I was worried that I would be disappointed, that the hotel would look just like it probably did in the 70s.
Nope, this was done in the modern blue/brown that I like for my condo in Austin and was at least as nice as the W Hotel chain. Impressive. EPCOT Nemo ride
Dinner 730pm Morocco
In middle school we took a field trip to EPCOT and a bunch of us had dinner here, pretty exotic stuff for a 14 yr old. Fond memories,
so here I am half a life later.
Kebab and belly dancing
Holidays around the world
Closing at 9:30 there was a fireworks show called IllimiNations: Reflections of Earth
Most spectacular fireworks show I've ever seen.
Magic Kingdom
With the privilege of extended hours, since I was staying at Disney resort, the park was open just for us until 2AM! Stitch's Great Escape! Peter Pan's Flight
I used to enjoy this one, but after midnight not really worth the wait Mickey's PhilharMagic
No line and this one was new to me- loved it! A must do
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
I don't really know much about Pooh, but there was no line Space Mountain
I got to ride point, still as fun as ever
