On my way to the flow, by car and foot this time
Hike out to flow was 3 miles each way, so cut it off Stayed at the Kilaeua Military Camp. One of only two places actually within the park, and would have been especially good value for a family- you basically get a multi room cabin.
Ended up doing the buffet at the camp. Good comfort foods such as: mac'n'cheese, cream of chicken soup, baked chicken, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes w gravy, rice, salad, cake.
