We had to meet Ramon at Gas Station Pier at 6:45am. This was the hardest day to get out of bed.
Evelyn is one of my friends from the Antarctica trip, and I've actually managed to keep in touch.
We had been talking about this trip since January and it was great to see it all come together.
We got to go about twice each. Avoid splashing as you get in!

Here I am right next to the shark on my first time in. Linda and our guide David are with me. You can see Linda is about a third the length of the shark
Right after I got in the water for my second set with Evelyn you can see this shark was heading RIGHT for me in a game of chicken. He veered right a little and I
angled to my right, and I don't know how I didn't scrape against him or on the way out get swatted by his tail.
All I could say think was "WOW" and saying into my snorkel "Holy shit!"
What a great experience.
We also got another great second pass you see below A pee stop for the ladies
We made a snorkeling stop on the way back
We pass by Playa Norte and our hotel
It was good to get back to shore, but the whale shark portion really was incredible and in hindsight I really wish I would have gone into the water
one more trip.
Also in the photography class I'm currently taking it was discussed that we no longer need to use a filter (other than for protecting the lens) because you can do
it all later with Photoshop. Well, in this case I think a polarizer would have enabled us to see the shark better when shooting from
above the water. Darn it.
Since it was only 5 of us (normally up to 10 can go) we were back by about noon, and our lunch wouldn't be ready for another hour (?), so we skipped it.
